About

This website is meant to help anyone looking for inspiration, or for a source of fantasy names and other random generators.

I first created it after struggling to make a Dungeons & Dragons character. In the end I generated an avatar, a title, and a backstory with AI, but I was only able to do it once. I figured that was a problem many people probably face, and built this site.

I hope it is a useful source for a lot of people, even if they are not using it for D&D.

I am happy to hear from anyone with ideas or inspirations for more characters, or for new kinds of things to generate.

Hello, I'm Blake Geist. I enjoy building websites.

I build and optimize high-performance systems for large brands, and I really like the work. I sit between deep-stack engineering and SEO strategy. I lead Technical SEO for Fox Corporation's digital portfolio, including Fox News, Fox Sports, and Tubi. I don't just follow best practices. I build the tools that automate them.

Before this role I was a senior software engineer and SEO at Fox, and earlier at CBT Nuggets, working mostly in React and Next.js. The biggest thing I have learned is that mentorship matters.

I also build my own tools. Review Garden is for hotels, trades, and local services: a postcard QR or follow-up email sends customers to a branded page, happy guests continue to Google, and rough visits stay private so the business can make it right first. The Tarkov Goon Tracker lets players share encounters in Escape from Tarkov.
